The Miracle of Computers and Technology

There is no other way to describe the huge advances in the area of computers and related technology. It allows instant communication with anyone world-wide and that it is a miracle. Not only can we communicate but send pictures, develop web-sites loaded with information, and gather answer to any question we wish to ask. This is a system designed by God and man was shown how to deliver it.

In 1984 the Spirit came upon me with such force it was impossible to move. Inside I heard “tear down the wall of churches, go out to the people, and bring back the young.” At 45 years of age and the time shown to me between lives. Yes, I have memory of my reincarnation and a link to the Spirit of the Universe, the real God.

Following the message three visions were received. In the first was a man like Jesus Christ preaching to a multitude of people on a mountain. In the second I replaced him and in the third my face was on a screen or browser.

Nothing made sense at that moment of either the commission or the visions. No one made mention of the world-wide-web let alone computers or browsers. As it was in compliance with the vision before my return there was no question in my mind of who or what this was about.

Months of teaching followed and then the Internet came on-line. By that time the Spirit had taught me well and even sent me to university to confirm the visions that were part of it. The subjects of archaeology, anthropology, linguistics, and philosophy were essential to verify them and to explain what the Spirit wants the world to know.

The Internet is the highest mountain and from it the messages given to me are being sent out to the world. God is able to speak to everyone at the same time and no company, government, or religious organisation has control over what is shown or taught from its height.

Micah 4:1 states that in the last days this mountain will appear and everyone will be drawn to it. That time has come and through the teaching and prophecies about the plan of God all will know that what is spoken of here is correct. The spiritual people are the young and they are searching for truth. That is released now and is the great light that will overturn the darkness of the world and remove the evil from it.

Virtual Reality Computers and Technology

The rate or progress for Virtual Reality is indeed stunning. So too is the commercialization of products, services and potential applications. For instance researchers, teachers, politicians and innovators are always stacked with projects that need a Virtual Reality Technicians skill sets to the audience, customer or funding groups better visualize.

Of course as things move forward much faster standardization is also coming to a head. Many VR consultants and leading edge thinkers speak of granularity, verbs and software programming methodologies, but none are completely certain that is how things will work in the future in VR, yet we all see this is the push. It is amazing all the competing VR standards, theories and directions the market place is working with now. It is pretty insightful and although 4 years old now is pretty much on the money.

One of the reasons I make this statement is because someone mentioned in an article about the slicing of food on the kitchen in virtual reality and the sound of the knife in EOX (basically that is surround-a-sound) and the granularity (individual animated pixels) dividing the object and yes all that is good for action sequences, explosions, car crashes in video games, VR Life II type things and such, or simulators for training, but there is an issue with combinations of multiple scenarios, with AI and the size of the program, current bandwidth, storage devices, etc.

We can talk all about the future as the VR Technicians see it and we can discuss all the applications for Government, Military, Business, Healthcare, Earth Sciences, Space, Training, Psychology, Sports, Sex, Politics, Distance Learning, Sales or V-travel and yet in the end a standard is needed so that the theories, methods and philosophies can all be on the same page to move the ball down the field and attract the capital needed to bring the VR World into a blurred reality with the real world and to make a profit in doing so. ROI is what the real world is about.

Computers And Technology in the Modern World

Some folks out there are really upset with how technology is “ruining their lives” as they say. But is it the technology or is it the people who are allowing the technology that was suppose to make their lives easier making it more distracted, shallow and hurried? What if we had no tech at all and we all lived like cave dwellers? Realize, I only compared modern men with technology to cave men because Gieko did it!

Not long ago, an astute future thinker noted after reading an article; “Is Technology Good or Bad” that some of these modern devices do more harm than good, while others are very good for humanity. Well, indeed, this brings up a good point and if you read “Data Smog” and understand the Unabomber’s Manifesto and see his points on this topic, you can understand where our astute thinker is coming from,

Perhaps, we should see technology as “tools” created by men, like the 100th Chimpanzee that used a rock to crack open sea shells for free sushi. Maybe we should see technology as neutral, like money. I like technology, you know like air-conditioners, heaters, ovens, telephones, and airplanes, don’t you?

Some of the stuff takes people away from what it is to be human, as if that is noble in and of itself, I wonder? Perhaps, our astute thinker is right, maybe we need to get back to a more holistic lifestyle for humanity. Of course, that really ought to be a choice.

The holistic universe seems fine and humans have most likely forgotten more than they’ve ever known. The human mind is very powerful and most humans have the genetic potential to tap into it all, but don’t perhaps distracted, by yes modern invention and tech devices.

Some day scientists will find a way to use micro chips to convert neuron-electrical impulses into one’s and zero’s to send thoughts – thought swapping communication over long distances. I’d say human probably already have that capability due to the cells and bacteria that makes us one with a larger system, quantum physics will one day prove that too.

Computers And Technology

Do you know where your computer was last night at 11:30pm? Do you know what it was doing? Chances are it was left on and doing absolutely nothing. It is difficult to say what the average computer and computer monitor draws in energy. There are a wide variety of computers and the way they are used varies even more. In my experience, and taking the mean average of all the finding I have come across, let us pretend that the average computer uses 147 watts. The computer I am currently typing on is consuming about 230 watts with a 750 watt power supply and two 22″ LCD monitors, but using a word processing program does not tax the machine. If I were to start editing video or playing a newer video game my draw would jump to over 300 watts since all of the components would be in full use. Enough of that statistical data, let’s bring on the math.

(Watts x Hours Used) / 1000 x Cost per kilowatt = Total Cost
Now if you have the 147 watt computer on 24/7/365 you would spend about $167 a year at $0.13/kw. That does not look too bad. Now think of a corporate office with about 100 employees on site. Still not bad? Now think of the world. It would be hard to state what the carbon footprint would be at since there are multiple resources used in creating electricity, but each of us can do our part.

Here at Credo Computer Repair and Services we train all of our clients in using less power when it comes to their computers and other pieces of technology. We set up all computers to go into standby (sleep), power the hard disk drives down and blank the monitors (screen savers are power drainers!). The other key idea that we try to ingrain is to shut the computer and the monitor completely off when you know you are going to be away from your computer for more than 24 hours. We have been building shoebox sized computers for use as a Windows Home Server (great for small offices as well) that only consume 35 watts, they also work great for those that only surf the Internet, e-mail and use productivity software like Microsoft Office. With one of these small computers and a 19″ LCD monitor you will consume less than 75 watts of power. The cost of these small computers are also less, and capable of paying for themselves.

When it comes to saving electricity and the planet the majority of us already know about compact fluorescent light bulbs (change your night lights to LEDs!), and that we should seal up our homes from air leaks, not run the A/C too cold or the furnace too hot, we should plan our driving and not waste fuel, and that we should recycle plastic bottle and aluminum cans. So what is your next step? How about making sure that your new purchases are environmentally friendly? And make sure that you recycle your computers and electronics properly and responsibly, they do not belong in the trash. Contact your local dump or search the phonebook or Internet for an electronics recycling center in your area. If you have electronics that are working you can donate them via Freecycle, which is a Yahoo Group with individual groups based on regions that post things that they want to give away. The other thing you can do with working computers is donate them, there is no tax write-off for a depreciated computer but there is the sense that you are helping out those less fortunate. We, at Credo Computers, accept any working computer and we never resell them, we install a free Linux distribution called Ubuntu and donate them to those in need (individuals and non-profits).
